Are you new to Charlotte Mason’s Alveary? Considering becoming a member? A current member who would love a little extra guidance? If so, join us for the Alveary Immersion session at CMI East this year!
Jen Spencer, Jenna Brown, Parke Stalcup, and Cathy Barrington will represent the Alveary Curriculum Development Team*, walk attendees through changes for the 2018-19 school year, show you around the new website, and guide you through getting started.
Among the topics discussed will be:
- How to combine students to streamline your day and still meet individual needs,
- How to plan for the year, the term, the week, and the day,
- How to use the program and place students,
- How to “ease in” to the full feast without becoming overwhelmed,
- How to create a schedule and use it well,
- How to set up and organize lesson plan materials, books, notebooks, and supplies,
- The roles of the curriculum writers, the books, the teacher, the student, and the Holy Spirit,
- New research that informed changes in our approach for 2018-19,
- What to do when real life gets in the way of the perfect plan, and
- Which sessions at CMI East would be beneficial for Alveary members to try not to miss.

*This session will focus on elementary and middle school. If your questions pertain more to high school, we recommend attending Kerri Forney’s high school immersion.
